Wipro GE strengthens MedTech push with new MR platform

Hyderabad: Wipro GE Healthcare on Thursday launched SIGNA Prime Elite, its latest magnetic resonance (MR) imaging system, at the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA) 2026 Annual Conference in Hyderabad.

Manufactured at the company’s MDM facility under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, the new system strengthens Wipro GE Healthcare’s growing ‘Made in India’ medical technology portfolio.

The SIGNA Prime Elite combines advanced imaging intelligence with patient-centric design to deliver faster scan times, improved image clarity and enhanced diagnostic confidence, addressing India’s growing need for early and accurate disease detection.

Chaitanya Sarawate, Managing Director of Wipro GE Healthcare and President & CEO of GE HealthCare South Asia, said the launch reflects the company’s long-term commitment to localisation.
